He nailed that quote. The same is a huge problem with many not attending Church, or should I say finding a Church with true Christian believers in attendance.
The " Great Commission" does carry an imperialistic tone. Love and servanthood does appeal much more to me.
Why can't you just call your church by the name that is taught in the bible. GODS or JESUS(CHRISTS) Church. Is the name Baptist Church used in the Bible for the name of the Church. No, I don't think so, I always thought the BIBLE HAD ALL AUTHORITY IN CHURCH DECISIONS not a group of people.
It would be better if the Church body focused on the Lesser Commission: which In Luke, Jesus said that "all people will be called to repentance".
